This canyoneering expedition in North Wash immerses students in one of the most awe-inspiring desert canyon systems in the American Southwest. Through technical canyon descents, intentional silence, shared responsibility, and spiritual reflection, participants are challenged to grow in resilience, leadership, and self-trust.North Wash is a difficult environment that strengthens everyone who accepts the challenge to travel through it. Students disconnect from noise and distraction and reconnect with Love, Integrity, Faith, and Endurance.Primary activities include canyoneering, camping, and a Green River water day. Itinerary may shift based on weather, group needs, or conditions.

  • 4 days / 3 nights in the North Wash canyon system (camping)
  • Multiple rappels and technical canyon obstacles with experienced guides
  • Daily quiet time, evening Bible lessons, and group discussion

Are there any experience requirements?

No prior canyoneering experience required. Willingness to be challenged and to participate in group responsibilities and discussion is essential.

Are there any Fitness requirements?

Participants should be prepared for hiking on uneven desert terrain, carrying personal and group gear, rappelling and navigating technical canyon features, hot daytime temperatures, cool nights, and long active days outdoors.
